What is your True Fear?
Your Result: Commitment

Even though it may not always seem like it, deep down you are afraid of being committed to anything serious. You love the feeling of being carefree and not having anything tying you down. You're afraid that someone or something that may tie you down in life, will keep you from reaching other goals. You may also be afraid of getting hurt. You need to open yourself up more to possibilities and realize that sometimes it's good to be committed to something that you really care about. Just because you're an independent, free-spirited person doesn't mean that being committed to anything is going to change who you are.

*GASPS*
Finally got something to post. Haha. Hmm, thanks to Chinese New Year, I have this long book-out period. I booked out last Friday, booking in will be tomorrow (Wednesday), and this meant I've had 'enough' rest by then.
.
.
NS was indeed very fun and interesting, no doubt it's utmost exhausting. Within just nearly 2 months, I've learnt so much things which every soldier needs to know. We've done Live firing range and Test, finished Field Camp and undergoing SOC.
.
.
Live Firing was thrilling. I love the recoil feeling of live bullets being fired. Out of 32 shots, I thought I missed 2-3 shots. Or maybe it was. We spent the whole day outside of COY line for the Shooting test. Well, I don't have enough eye strength to list the details out, haha ( still sleepy).
.
.
Field Camp was the most enjoyable and challenging of all the trainings combined in BMT. We get to sleep in 'bashas' with our buddies, powder-bath, shit in dug-holes, eat food-rations (my favourite), sweat together in war-simulated trainings. We smell so bad that our noses grew out of the 3-day-no-bathe stench from our sweaty bodies. Just to summarise, field camp was the best.
.
.
Overall, my experience in BMT so far had been marvellous and fruitful. With my new-found joker mates, the fun will never die in our every day routine. Hmm, I need to hit the bed, I will publish a new post when the next book out comes, which I suspect will be confined personally, due to my lack of alertness resulting to my rifle being stunned during field camp. Oh well, I will still get to go home anyway. Hahah.. That's all for now. BYE.. :)

Hello. Um, it's been quite a period since i've blogged. I've been enlisted on the 3 of dec 2008. Since I'm at home now, might just as well post something on this blog of mine. :D
..
National Service was quite alright. I began to love Pulau Tekong and I felt this place as my second home. Almost a month I'm in BMTC and I've learnt loads of things which are crucial for every soldier. This is just an example; an extract from the "SAF 7 Core Values".
..
  1. Loyalty to country
  2. Leadership
  3. Discipline
  4. Professionalism
  5. Fighting Spirit
  6. Ethics
  7. Care for Soldiers

..

These values were progressively instilled into us, and I personally can sense the "proud of my country" feeling. Hah.

. ...

Our bunks are spacious and prone to dust. Every time we wipe, dust will still be clustered on the very same spot. Very frustrating. Our worst times and will always be, are "Stand-by areas". Not even a speck of dust in sight for the Sergeant's feasty eyes. I don't know how our superiors did it, but they will always have dust on their creepy fingers even did we wipe and swept quadriple times. Not even a single crease on the bed, and shoes must be aligned when "Stand-by Beds" were summoned. All these absurd expectations are indeed a training for those who want a career as a goblin housekeeper.

..

Food was exceptionally nice. The Cookhouse lied to us about 100-variety and constantly rotating menus, because we had, by bad chance, the same food multiple times in a week. We were given only 20 minutes or so for us to queue up and finish the food. I'm not used to gulping down food as I am the "slow-eater" type. The only rewarding day is Tuesday as we will be getting Ice-creams for dessert. I personally felt that there's something unusual in the food because I always felt queasy and nauseous after each meal.

..

Well, I'm currently suffering a week-old diarrhoea and phlegm-clogged coughs. My appetite decreased dreadly and I finished two scoops of food each meal time for three days. Due to my wonderful state, I've lost a whooping 5 kg from my weakened body. But still, I tried and pushed myself within my limits to continue my training. Thank God my appetite restored when I'm at home during this book-out period, but rather weak though.

..

I just got my photocard licence. Haha. The ID pictures on my photocard licence and my 11B were way different. But my friends can't tell any unsimilarities. Damn.
