With 2LT Khai
The joy of throwing the caps.

Trained soldier of BMTC Sch 1.

My Younger Brother..

Finally after 3 months of BMT, I've passed out and enjoying my block leave period. Just got the posting results today.
.
AUTO TECH- B VEH
.
Haha, me being a technician. Imagine that.
And it's at Ayer Rajah camp. Damn far from my place. My goodness, my fare budget will burst to madness. And it's only the 'learning' part, then i get reposted to another unit, I THINK..
.
Oh yeah, forgot to elaborate about the 24 km march. It's indeed tiring and endless. But it's very rewarding and that triumph feeling when our march reach to an end. The tired part was that we need to straightaway prepare ourselves for the graduation parade. Didn't had enough sleep . And the joyous feeling of throwing the cap was just indescribable.
.
Ahh, BMT had given me the best golden memories to be kept for the years to come.

P.O.P
(Pass Out Parade)
.
Finally, the day that I've been waiting for is nearing quite swiftly. I will definitely miss my BMT days; my friends, trainings, commanders. BMT is a truly valuable experience for every soldier. The bondship and sufferings as platoon mates, heightened during this period. We learnt not to be selfish, be considerate, alert, agile and responsible.
.
What I've been doing for these past few weeks have been fruitful. Lots of new things were taught and our stamina increases as days passed. Route marches have been instilled in our schedules after all the other trainings came to an end. We haved moved on to 16 km last week, which was the second last march for BMT. As there are no more trainings, the only obstacle and challenge for our completion of BMT will be the gruelling 24 km.
.
My POP will fall on 18 March 2009 , Wednesday. I hope that I will get posted to a good unit. My friends will be missed, thanks guys for the support and laughter. True friendship will last in our hearts even if we seperate to different paths ,to go on with our journey. Commanders were our greatest leaders, constantly looking out for us and correcting our mistakes. Even we were punished unconditionally, we knew it was for our own good.
*************
Being a soldier; leading an Army life, is hard and not at all enjoyable. But through hardships we will then learn, thus instill great moral values and knowledge in our daily lives. No doubt our country is just a small costly-living island, we must protect and defend our people. :) Through my experience, I'm proud to serve the nation.
